The Global Africa Project
Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 12:13AM There's something fascinating about contemporary African art.
The Betsy Hotel is currently featuring the Global Africa Project, an exhibit co-curated by Lowrey Stokes Sims of the Museum of Arts and Design and Leslie King-Hammond, founding director of the Center for Race and Culture at the Maryland Institute College of Art. These childhood friends met years ago as girl scouts. There's no doubt this extraordinary exhibit is a result of their equally extraordinary bond.
